    RoundTable Healthcare Partners Makes Additional Equity Investment in MedAssist

    LAKE FOREST, IL, November 8, 2004 — RoundTable Healthcare Partners (“RoundTable”), an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced that it has made an incremental equity investment in its portfolio company MedAssist Holding, Inc. to support the strategic acquisition of Argent Healthcare Financial Services, Inc. (“Argent HFS”). The financial terms of the Argent HFS acquisition and the RoundTable equity investment were not disclosed.

    RoundTable Healthcare Partners Closes Sale of Sabex Holdings, Ltd. to Sandoz

    LAKE FOREST, IL, August 16, 2004 — RoundTable Healthcare Partners (“RoundTable”), an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced that it has closed on the sale of Sabex Holdings Ltd. (“Sabex”), a leading Canadian generic pharmaceutical manufacturer to Sandoz for $565 million. Sandoz, a Novartis company, is a world leader in generic pharmaceuticals and develops, manufactures, and markets these medicines as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnological active ingredients. RoundTable acquired a majority interest in Sabex in April 2002.

    RoundTable Healthcare Partners Acquires Excelsior Medical Corporation

    LAKE FOREST, IL, June 28, 2004 — RoundTable Healthcare Partners (“RoundTable”), an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, announced today that it has acquired a majority interest in Excelsior Medical Corporation (“Excelsior”). Excelsior, based in Neptune, New Jersey, is a leading manufacturer of pre-filled flush syringes and syringe pump systems. Syringe pump systems include syringe infusion pumps, dispensing pumps, tubing, thermal label printers, labels, and accessories. The Excelsior management team will retain a substantial ownership stake in the company and will continue to lead the organization. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

    RoundTable Healthcare Partners Announces Sale of Sabex Holdings Ltd.to Sandoz

    LAKE FOREST, IL, June 7, 2004 — RoundTable Healthcare Partners, an operating-oriented private equity firm focused exclusively on the health-care industry, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Sabex Holdings Ltd. (“Sabex”), a leading Canadian generic pharmaceutical manufacturer to Sandoz for $565 million. Sandoz, a Novartis company, is a world leader in generic pharmaceuticals and develops, manufactures, and markets these medicines as well as pharmaceutical and biotechnological active ingredients. RoundTable acquired a majority interest in Sabex in April 2002.

    Pierre Fréchette Appointed Chief Executive Officer Sabex, Inc

    Boucherville, Québec, February 27, 2004 — Sabex Inc. (“Sabex”), Canada’s leading generic injectable pharmaceutical manufacturer, announced today that Pierre Fréchette has been appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer. This transition of leadership follows the retirement of Michel Saucier and reflects the succession plan originated eighteen months ago when Mr. Fréchette joined Sabex as President and Chief Operating Officer. As part of this planned transition, Michel Saucier will remain a significant shareholder in Sabex and will retain his position of Vice Chairman of the Board.
